Country Flavors Festival

What a day!! Today was the Country Flavors Festival in Brenham. Brenham is about an hour away and the place where Blue Bell originated. There were 20 different flavors of ice cream to "sample". When I say sample, they would give you a banana split bowl/dish and put up to 3 scoops of any flavor of ice cream. You come back as many time as you wanted and try as many flavors as you wanted. Paul had 9, yes 9 scoops of ice cream, Nathan and Kayla had 7 each. Let me tell you they had variety of flavors, there was cotton candy, Krazy Kolors, birthday cake, pecan praline, strawberry cheesecake, carmel chocolate crunch, mocha almond, dutch chocolate, homemade vanilla, and many others. The cotton candy was blue and pink and it tasted like cotton candy, the Krazy Kolors was bright red, yellow and blue, I was told it tasted like a creamsicle, should have tried it!! There was too many flavors and my stomach was not big enough!! It was a fun day and we looked in a few of the antique shops while we were there. Other than eating ice cream there were local businesses that were pedaling their wares, two winery's, sausage, coffee, Salad dressing, goats milk soap (I was thinking of you Mikko) and a farmers market. It was a fun day out and I am sure we will be going back next year!!!
Maddie played with the flowers while everyone else ate their ice cream
